Introduction
Tool and die making is special technique used to design,manufacture and maintenance of Press tool, Plastic mould,Die casting,Jig & Fixture,Gauges and Cutting tool. Along with this they have capability to operate sophisticated machine like Lathe,Milling,Grinding,Wire EDM,Sinker EDM,Jig grinder etc.They can program and operate CNC ( computerize Numerical Control) machine and how to use varity of cutting tool.
What is the difference between a machinist and a tool & die maker?
The main difference between tool and die makers and machinists is that who normally make a single part ( similar types) during the production process is a machinist, while tool and die makers make many different types of parts and assemble and adjust machines used in the production process.

1.Government jobs :-
a)Coin minting in RBI mints
b)Technician in Railways
c)BHEL
d)DRDO
e)Ordinance factor
f) Junior Engineer in state SSC

2.Private jobs:-
i.Tool Room work in any company then it's best to go :-
a.Sheet metal or Press tool design & Manufacturing
b.Plastic Mould Design & Manufacturing
c.Jig & Fixture & Gauges
d.Die casting and forging are being done.
ii.Any Automobile or Aerospace company
iii.Any product based manufacturing company.
3.Higher Education :-
a.B-Tech Regular if not working.
b.B-Tech from evening colleges (Like-Delhi University,Lingayas Vidyapeeth)or part time colleges (like -Bits Plani). This option for available for working professionals.
4.BBA ,BCA and graduation from any other humanities subject if you don't feel good in this line of tool making.
